Under direction of the Deputy Superintendent of the Building Educational Success Together Branch, the Analyst II works in a collaborative capacity with Division offices to provide independent and complex analytical, fiscal, and technical support. The Branch is comprised of the Multilingual Support Division, Curriculum Frameworks and Instructional Resources Division; the Professional Learning Support Division, and the State Special Schools and Services Division.
State Board of Education (SBE) Responsibilities – Serve as the Branch liaison for SBE items and provide leadership to Division coordinators. Coordinate and monitor submission deadlines to ensure timely completion. Independently review and analyze all SBE Information Memoranda, Agenda items, Waivers, and Addenda for comprehension and to ensure compliance with Department correspondence guidelines.
Administrative and Personnel Responsibilities – Write, review, edit, and collaborate with staff for the content of all Branch documents for the signature of the approving administrator as appropriate, to ensure alignment and coordination with current Department activities, as well as consistent messaging. Serve as the Branch liaison for personnel matters and provide leadership to Division coordinators. Collaborate with staff on personnel requests to ensure consistency with Department procedures and Branch expectations.
Budget Responsibilities – Serve as the Branch liaison for budgetary issues and provide leadership to Division coordinators. Independently track the state budget process and budget bills and alert the Deputy Superintendent as changes occur.
Legislative Responsibilities – Serve as the Branch liaison for Legislative analyses and provide leadership to Division coordinators. Monitor the submission of Legislative analyses to ensure that due dates are adhered to and bill assignments are accurate and inclusive of all offices that may be impacted.

This position is subject to PLP 2025 and will have a monthly base pay reduction of 3% in exchange for 5 hours of leave credits through June 2027.
