Job Description

Randstad has partnered with an elite, highly respected law firm in Lexington, KY to identify an experienced Legal Assistant specializing in Business Law, Trust & Estates.

In this versatile, high-impact role, you will perform work of moderate to complex professional difficulty, providing comprehensive support to licensed attorneys across corporate transactions, commercial finance, banking, estate planning, and trust administration. The ideal candidate blends exceptional administrative discipline and high numerical proficiency with the elite discretion required to interface with high-net-worth clients and financial institutions.

This position is a full-time permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

salary: $58,000 - $70,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Deal & Transaction Support: Coordinate client due diligence, gather essential transaction files, track critical deadlines, and systematically organize reports to keep transactions on schedule.

  • Corporate Filings: Assist in the preparation and filing of UCC financing statements, entity formations, governance documents, and Secretary of State filings.

  • Document & Lifecycle Management: Draft group-specific legal documents, manage engagement letters, and maintain accurate index structures in the firm's electronic document management system.

  • Asset Rebalancing & Transfers: Obtain precise asset and personal information required for complex estate administration, facilitating the seamless transfer of assets to beneficiaries in accordance with testamentary documents.

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous, audit-ready financial records and tracking account activities for active estates and trusts.

  • Intermediary Communication: Serve as a core liaison, collaborating effectively with clients, CPAs, financial advisors, brokers, trust officers, and bankers regarding estate planning matters.

  • Intake & Questionnaire Management: Assist attorneys in gathering detailed client data and financial metrics for specialized Estate Planning Questionnaires.

  • Basic Drafting: Support the drafting of foundational planning directives, including wills, powers of attorney, living will directives, and HIPAA authorizations.
