Job Description

A Southland Holdings company is currently accepting resumes for  Construction General Laborer for our large heavy civil project located in  Tampa, FL .

• Construction experience in underground utility, heavy highway, bridges, dirt work, and/or welding, etc.
• Trenchless experience working around specialized equipment such as Tunnel Boring, Guided Boring and/or Auger Boring Systems
• Heavy equipment experience preferred, loading/unloading materials, excavating soil, operating and maintaining excavators, backhoes, skidsteers, bucket loaders, and/or forklifts, etc.
• Jobsite set up experience interpreting plans and specifications, using surveying equipment to calculate grade and alignment.
• Essential duties include climbing ladders into and out of earthen pits/trenches, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, stooping, squatting, lifting and climbing, full range of motion and use of arms and legs.
• Must work in all weather conditions, be prepared for both extreme hot/cold.
• Must be able to work independently, maintain good schedule, available for OT.
• Must have basic knowledge of heavy civil construction.
• Successful applicants must have a valid driver's license (Class A CDL w/ Tanker Endorsement preferred) and past a DOT physical, drug test and background checks.
