Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and engaging Sales Trainer for a direct hire opportunity in Petaluma, CA. This role is ideal for a sales training professional who enjoys coaching others, strengthening sales performance, and helping new hires build confidence in a fast-paced software industry environment.

The Sales Trainer will play a key role in onboarding sales employees, delivering effective training programs, measuring learning outcomes, and supporting ongoing professional development. Key Responsibilities

- Deliver structured training sessions for new and existing sales personnel using established sales training materials.
- Support onboarding programs that help new hires understand sales processes, tools, customer engagement standards, and performance expectations.
- Measure trainee performance after training and monitor the progress of new sales team members.
- Develop new approaches, techniques, and improvements to strengthen the effectiveness of sales training programs.
- Maintain and update training materials, records, and related documentation.
- Stay current on market trends, sales best practices, and the evolving needs of a corporate sales environment.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $65,000 to $70,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Location: Petaluma, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Conduct sales training programs for new and current sales personnel.
- Measure training effectiveness and monitor employee performance after training.
- Improve training content, methods, and delivery to support sales team growth.
- Support employee onboarding and ongoing professional development initiatives.

- 2 to 4 years of experience as a Sales Training Specialist, Corporate Sales Trainer, Sales Trainer, or similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Business Administration, or a related field, or a comparable record of sales leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of the sales process, sales best practices, and corporate sales environments.
- Ability to effectively teach sales training programs and coach employees toward improved performance.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Outstanding coaching, sales, customer service, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to motivate others, multitask when needed, and work effectively with a variety of sales professionals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with e-learning platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience training sales teams in the computer software, technology, SaaS, or related industry.
- Experience developing or improving sales training materials, onboarding content, or e-learning modules.
- Prior sales leadership experience with a strong track record of coaching others to meet performance goals.
