Skilled Trade Worker – Learn Roofing & Historic Restoration (Paid Training)

The Durable Slate Company is hiring reliable, hardworking individuals to join our restoration teams. We provide full training in roofing, slate, tile, and copper systems used on historic and high-end buildings.
No roofing experience required—we will train the right candidates.
What You’ll Do• Assist with installation and repair of slate, tile, and metal roofing systems
• Work on historic buildings, churches, and specialty structures
• Learn hands-on trade skills in roofing and restoration
• Support skilled crews with materials, setup, and site work
• Grow into advanced craftsmanship roles over time
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Comfortable working at heights and outdoors
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Willingness to learn a skilled trade
• Construction, landscaping, warehouse, or general labor experience is a plus
• Paid training in roofing and restoration trades including safety training
• $20–$25+/hr. progression based on skill and experience
• Year-round work
• Health, Dental, Vision + 401(k) after 90 days
• Paid travel time, hotel, and per diem when traveling
• Overtime opportunities available year-round
• Quarterly performance bonuses
• Promotions based on performance—not tenure
This is a long-term trade career path in historic restoration. You’ll learn specialized skills in roofing and masonry restoration that go beyond standard construction work.
