Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to accommodate diverse learning abilities.
- Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students with disabilities.
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with parents, school staff, and support professionals to ensure student success.
- Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and documentation .
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education laws and school policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Certification:
- State-issued Special Education Teaching License .
- Additional certifications in Autism, Behavioral Interventions, or Learning Disabilities preferred.
- Experience:
- 1+ years of experience as a Special Education Teacher (preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, instructional strategies, and behavioral management .
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills .
- Ability to work with students of various ages and learning disabilities .
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to relocate for temporary travel assignments .
